What We Did
Solution
Microsoft’s SQL Server was selected as the best-fit solution because it provided required uptime and data protection. The integrated, high-availability disaster recovery solution, SQL Server AlwaysOn, would also help reduce planned and unplanned downtime.
To meet the requirements of the project while managing costs, MRE designed and implemented a system utilizing Microsoft’s Hyper-V technology to virtualize the SQL Servers.
MRE then configured the SQL servers in an AlwaysOn Availability Group. To meet the client’s need for a disaster recovery site, MRE devised a custom integrated log shipping solution.
What We Delivered
Results
The resulting environment supported over 10,000 users, was redundant and featured a disaster recovery site that replicated the data entered into SQL Log Shipping.
MRE Consulting continued to manage the environment through its managed services. Monitoring utilizes automated maintenance plans and alerting systems.
