Stamatina Waltz joined MRE Consulting in May 2009 and became Director in July 2012. Her focus is on Program and Project Management. She has been a Management and IT consultant serving the oil and gas industry for 14 years. Stamatina has held a variety of roles within MRE’s Energy and Trading Risk Management (ETRM) practice including managing a Global Infrastructure program, managing project delivery of various Trading implementations, and serving as Chief of Staff to a client’s CIO. She is also a leader within MRE’s training, recruiting, mentoring programs and women’s initiatives.
Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, Stamatina began her consulting career with Accenture. During her 11 year tenure, she grew her consulting profession and became a Senior Manager in Accenture’s Energy practice. She was a leader within their Upstream Community of Practice and specialized in Major Capital Projects. Stamatina managed various projects focused on SAP implementations, business processes and best practice implementations for various IT organizations within the energy industry. While at Accenture, she also managed the Houston center focused on Digital Oil Field technologies called the Energy Ideas Exchange. She was an International Women’s Day nominee and received numerous awards including exemplifying Accenture’s core values of Best People and Integrity.
Stamatina is on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Energy Network (WEN), fostering career, leadership and networking opportunities for professional women in the energy industry. She is also active in the Houston community through various non-profits, Houston A&M Club, Reveille Club’s Houston Aggie Women, and is a proud member of the 12th Man Foundation supporting Texas A&M.
